At HG Construction the protection of our employees, contractors and the members of the public are carefully considered throughout the life cycle of the project.

We aim to provide a working environment that is free from harm by promoting a safety culture that is clear and positive thus ensuring the wellbeing of all parties involved with our work.

This is managed by virtue of the following:

  • Having a comprehensive and fully developed Health & Safety Management System in accordance with OSHAS 18001, which is subject to regular reviews and monitoring.
  • Having access to competent health and advice information.
  • Having fully trained and competent staff at all levels, especially site management teams.
  • Carrying out regular inspections and audits of the companies’ premises and operational construction sites.

H&S Policy Statement

HG Construction are committed to achieving zero accidents and incidents and, as part of this commitment, we expect all our employees to take responsibility not only for their own safety, but for any person working on, or coming into contact with our activities.

We have a KPI for an annual reduction of 5% in our Accident Frequency Rates (AFR) and Accident Incident Rates (AIR).
